Salient Group LLP is seeking three (3) suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Rack/Tank Operator for a premiere company in Belize City.
The Rack/Tank Operator is primarily responsible to:
- Assist with truck loading and unloading at the fueling station, following safety protocols and operating procedures based on a shift schedule.
- Perform daily checks on equipment and facilities before starting and after ending each shift, ensuring everything is in good working order.
- Help monitor product levels and assist with basic inventory tasks to track fuel supplies.
- Support routine maintenance tasks for fueling equipment, ensuring proper functioning of pumps and other machinery.
- Assist with basic testing and calibration of fuel station equipment.
- Participate in maintaining safety standards and ensure that all safety procedures are followed during loading, unloading, and equipment inspections.
To be a successful candidate, you must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or technical training is a plus.
- Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role or in a customer service/retail setting within the petroleum industry is preferred but not required. This can be as a pump attendant at a local service station. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) are required.
- Language Skills: Must have a good working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking). Knowledge of additional languages, such as Spanish, is a plus but not required.
- Shift Work: Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform manual tasks such as using hand tools, lifting of weights up to 20lbs, and climbing ladders or steps as needed. Comfort with heights is required.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, or rainy conditions.
