Salient Group LLP is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer to assist in designing, developing, and maintaining websites and digital platforms.

This role focuses on front-end and back-end development, requiring strong coding abilities, database management skills, and problem-solving expertise. The ideal candidate is meticulous, eager to learn, and able to work independently while collaborating with the creative and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Manage MySQL databases and ensure smooth integration with web applications.
  • Work with CMS platforms to customize themes, plugins, and functionalities.
  • Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and accessibility.
  • Implement security best practices and troubleshoot bugs or technical issues.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional websites.
  • Maintain documentation on coding standards, database management, and development workflows.
  • Stay updated with emerging web technologies and best practices.
  • Contribute to client training and documentation on content management systems and best practices.
  • Use Project Management Software or similar tools for project organization and deadline tracking.

Qualifications & Skills:

       Must-Have:

    • 2+ Years experience in the web development/software development field.
    • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
    • Experience working with WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
    • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
    • Understanding of database management and optimization.
    • Ability to debug and troubleshoot coding issues.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

      Bonus Skills (Not Required but Preferred):

    • Familiarity with AI tools and Prompting (ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Llama, Claude, etc.).
    • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, or AJAX.
    • Familiarity with frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Laravel.
    • Understanding of cloud hosting and deployment.
    • Knowledge of SEO and website optimization strategies.
    • Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment integrations.
