BTALCO Ltd. is a long-standing Belize logistics, shipping, and port operations company supporting customers across air freight, ocean freight, logistics, brokerage, cargo handling, and related shipping services. As the business continued to serve a wide range of customer needs, its previous website no longer reflected the scale, clarity, or professionalism of the company behind it. Customers needed a simpler way to understand BTALCO’s services, find answers, and connect with the team without relying on phone calls for every routine question.
Salient was engaged to rethink the website from the ground up: strategy, content, UX, design, WordPress development, SEO, hosting, contact forms, tracking links, and analytics.
The project began with the practical questions BTALCO’s customers bring to the website. Visitors are often looking for a specific service, a shipment-related answer, contact information, tracking support, or a clearer understanding of how air freight, ocean freight, logistics, and brokerage fit their needs.
Salient reviewed the existing site, the available content, and the core customer actions the new website should make easier. Rather than presenting BTALCO only as a broad company profile, the new structure organized the experience around practical service pathways and customer tasks.
The new structure separated Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Logistics/Brokerage into clearer sections, gave the homepage a stronger logistics-focused message, and created more direct routes to contact, shipment tracking, and frequently asked questions. Mobile flow was also considered from the start so customers could find important information quickly from their phones.
With the service structure in place, the visual system was shaped to reflect BTALCO’s role as an established logistics partner. The design direction was built around trust, clarity, and operational usefulness, giving customers a site that feels professional without becoming overly corporate or disconnected from Belize.
Salient developed a stronger visual hierarchy with clearer service sections, more direct headings, cleaner calls to action, and imagery connected to shipping, cargo, movement, and logistics. The homepage message was sharpened around BTALCO’s role in connecting Belize to the world, while service cards and page sections guided visitors toward the right logistics solution.
The content was reshaped with the same customer-first approach. Working from BTALCO’s source material, Salient rewrote and reorganized key sections so the copy could explain services more directly, answer common questions, make contact paths more visible, and reduce friction for customers who previously had to call for basic information.
Once the structure, design, and content were aligned, Salient built the redesigned site on WordPress with a stronger technical foundation and a more flexible content management setup.
The build focused on mobile responsiveness, faster page performance, clearer forms, tracking links, analytics, SEO setup, and hosting support. Before launch, the site was refined for clarity, usability, and consistency across devices so customers could move from service research to contact, tracking, or support with less friction.
Since launch, BTALCO has seen stronger website performance and clearer customer engagement signals. The redesigned experience has supported more inquiries through the website, improved mobile usability, faster page speed, better search visibility, and fewer routine calls for questions that customers can now answer online.
The redesigned BTALCO website is now a clearer customer resource and a stronger reflection of the company behind it. The new experience organizes BTALCO’s services around what customers are trying to do: ship by air, move cargo by sea, arrange logistics support, track a shipment, find answers, or contact the team.
